What’s Shadow work?
Uhhh shadow work? Talk to my younger self?
Wtf are you talking about……
Have you ever heard someone say… “just go back and talk to your younger self… or inner child”…?
Do you understand what that means and how to do it? Do you understand the power you have in it?
I didn’t always.
I do now… however I talk with many… who don’t.
It’s totally ok also.
I didn’t know that either.
It just means you get to free yourself NOW… of so much weight!

Last night my partner and I were talking. He has been struggling a bit. Not so much in his daily work or life…. more so in his own confidence… his faith…. who he is… really. He also has struggled with what I often talk about. The woo woo of it all he says!
He has been digging in a bit more (❤ I am so excited)
He has been asking himself all the right questions for the work he is wanting to do… ready to do.
That’s the thing about “shadow work” or child trauma…. you have to be ready. Until you are…. its not going to work… its gonna be fucking CRAZY.
Trust me…. I know. I have been working on this all my life. It’s truly my passion. However it can be wild!!!
Especially without guidance
Ready however is a choice for the most part. Yes you have to have had your feelers sparked or your interest aroused…. however mostly…. it’s all your being ready to choose.
Choosing to be willing to do the work required to shift your perspective and feelings around situations and stories.
Feelings are surface… however they influence our emotions and cause us to operate in various altered states of being and influencing our choices from that emotional state.
So in order to go back and talk with your younger self… or past self… and create a ripple of CHANGE…..
you gotta be willing to open some doors…. dig in….. and clean out the closet.
You gotta be willing to be radically self honest.
Not brutal… just honest. With no right or wrong. Just real and without the emotional response of how you may have felt then.
You take a walk back in time… through your mind of memories… feelings. You visit the places you remember in your mind. You walk around the room as you are you now….. and view yourself as you were then. Look at how you see or perceived things. How you felt based on the situation at the time. How you received the other people. The expectations or demands you might have had. The feelings.
Ask yourself some questions…..
Who were you? How were you? Was it your fault? Does it matter? Is it happening now? Are you still in pain? Does it change or effect things now? Why? Can you change how you felt? Do you feel differently now about it? Do you see the actions as just that? Do you understand their lack of understanding?
Do you see it’s not happening NOW
This process is so effective because time only exists…. RIGHT NOW. There is no past you can physically go visit. The future… well you are creating it right now…. so it doesn’t yet fully exist either. The ONLY time that exist right now…. is RIGHT NOW.
So in order to visit your past and change the future… is right now… in your mind… body… spirit!
You can go back to all the times you remember in your past…. and view it from your current mindset. The mindset you have now… as an outsider looking in to a situation that is no longer happening. You can see things you couldn’t see then. You can learn what you couldn’t then. You can choose to learn and grow and expand…. with no regrets…. by choosing to learn, own… embrace all of you. All of your experiences.
Choose to see they are no longer happening. You only remember them… in your mind.
How you remember them…. is shiftable.
If you can learn…. you have no need or desire to regret. There is nothing to regret.
The future is written in the past. Only way to change the future… is to create a better present…. to create a better past. Only way to do that…. is to work through all those shadows or monsters or whatever they are… hiding out in all those closets.
That keep you creating your present… from that past state of feeling… that developed all your emotions…. that create the space… you create in.

Another awesome thing when we are ready to do the work…. you realize after opening all those door’s….. that what was in them…. you can let go. You have no reason to carry it anymore…. because you are able to see…. it just doesn’t serve anyone. In fact…. it’s the holding onto and keeping locked up… that causes all the suffering to begin with. All the feelings about it.
Choose to walk up to the doors that have felt locked away for so long and be brave and open them. I promise…. you won’t ever look back ❤✌
This little girl… once had so many holes… so many hurts…. so many wounds. She thought so low of herself. She felt she was less than her male counter parts…. she thought she was less than the ones who sought education over adventures… she thought she was less than if she gained weight or changed. She didn’t once feel much for herself other than discuss… anger… unfulfilled….. the list goes on. I once was so full of everything I’m not… and lacking to shine so much of what I am…. who I am. I had a representative that had been created to keep me safe… secure… in control. I self sabotaged and and hated on myself daily… for all the things I was so worried I wasn’t or unsure of. I compared and hid.
I only “thought” I was all good… when in truth of hindsight…. I was so fucked up.
I had no idea… what life could really be all about! ❤🌏
I’ve time traveled many times and had many conversations with that little girl…. to here now where I’m at. I had alot of healing to do.
That started with CHOICE.
Life isn’t meant to be some perfect little sculpture. It’s meant to be wild! It’s meant to be individual. It’s meant to be FREE.

Embrace it! Learn. Grow! LIVE!!!
